READ THIS!

Did it work? Do I have your attention? I'm sitting at my computer catching up on emails, blogs, and FarmVille as I transition into real writing mode. As I'm doing so, I begin to realize how difficult it is to find something new and refreshing to write about. What do people want to read about that hasn't been written before? I thought that I had stumbled upon a story that was different but would it hold the attention of the reader? The first 20 pages felt fresh and exciting and I enjoyed what shape the piece was taking, on the 21st page it seemed that a familiar pattern was taking hold and I was losing my unique spin. Are there only so many ways a story can be told? Maybe I need some more time on FarmVille to get back on track.
